A SuperSub sports field foundation can last a lifetime if it’s well maintained. Read here how to keep your SuperSub in top condition.
A SuperSub sports floor foundation ensures years of enjoyable play — as long as the field is properly maintained. With just a few smart routines, you can keep the surface safe, playable, and in top condition. Below, you'll find practical do’s and don’ts to help you get started.
Remove leaves, twigs, and loose debris daily using a leaf blower, broom, or vacuum. This prevents blockages in the perforation holes of the artificial turf and keeps the surface safe and non-slippery.
Brushing does more than you think: it maintains the playability of the surface and extends the lifespan of both the turf and the underlying foundation. We recommend using a Padmax VX2 in combination with the Meijer VP70 for optimal results.
Many household cleaners contain harsh chemicals that can damage the foam concrete. Never use vinegar-based products or moss/algae removers — these can harm the foundation over time.
Twice a year, have the artificial turf professionally deep-cleaned. The infill is loosened, organic matter is removed, and additional infill is added where needed. This keeps the surface water-permeable and ensures the ball bounces as it should.
Shady and damp areas are prone to moss and algae growth. Check these zones regularly and, if necessary, treat them with a pH-neutral product. This prevents damage to both the turf and the foundation.

Even in winter, regular brushing and cleaning remain essential for safety and a quicker return to play after frost.
Rock salt, de-icing pellets, and harsh cleaning agents can damage the artificial turf and the cement-based foundation. Always avoid using these products.
Always choose equipment and cleaning products that are suitable for artificial turf and the SuperSub foundation. Not sure what to use? Our team is happy to advise.
Install wind screens or perimeter netting around the court to reduce windblown debris. This minimizes cleaning effort and helps keep the field consistently clean.
Record all maintenance activities and any observations. This gives you better oversight and allows you to act quickly when recurring issues arise.
Good maintenance starts with a solid foundation — but some projects require a little extra attention. Our team is happy to offer tailored advice based on your specific field and situation. That way, your SuperSub foundation stays in top condition.
